Huawei U8100

claudior has owned it for less than year before publishing this review

Cool gadget, battery life is a joke, somewhat slow interface (except for the camera, which is VERY slow) and low headphone volume. Low price smartphone, it accomplishes the task.
Touch screen keyboard on vertical position are a little hard to use if you have big hands, turning to horizontal (yes, it takes 2-3 sec. to react) solves it.

Build quality 8/10 It's painted, and painting goes away with normal usage, looks like an old or very mistreated phone in few months

Reception 9/10 Good signal, no problems

Call quality 7/10 Low volume on phone calls

Internet 8/10 Except Flash apps everythings works OK

Multimedia 4/10 Low volume

Camera 4/10 Slow. Blurry. There are 2.0 MP cellphones with better image quality. No flash, zoom resizes pic (digital)

UI speed 3/10 Sloooooowww.....

Everyday usage 7/10 Mostly phone and some app using and it works. Take an eye on battery. Carry charger or USB cable at least if you are near a computer to recharge

Text input 8/10 Many options (my language is Spanish) and they work OK, I find it somewhat quirky 'cos I have big fingers so the on-screen keyboard sometimes i fail to tap the "key" I want to use

Display 8/10 320x200, not the best you'll find, but it works, not big deal outside at day. Could be a little bigger (2.8")

Battery 2/10 It limits severely the usage of all the features in the phone.

Pros

• Very complete smartphone for few money
• Has Android system, you've lots of apps to choose.

Cons

• Battery lasts 240h only in OFF mode!. Without using it at all (not SMS/call incoming included) doesn't reach 3 days. Use the GPS and WiFi and it will die after 3 or 4 hours.
• Very low volume for music and radio, can't hear the headphones with some background noise (any street, for example)

- DO NOT Buy if you r a big time application user
- Battery will not last more then 3 hr.
- Everything works fine eceept huge problem with battery
- LCD is fine but will not see clear if you outside in sunlight you may have problem seeing if you have glasses it will hard to see it.
