Best phone ont the market
damisamsung74 has owned it for less than month before publishing this review
This phone has some good features including the HD CAMERAs, HD screens, large screen 4.8 inches and also there are some good battery life which is 2100mAH. The phone runs theAndroid Jelly Bean 4.3 which isnt the latest anymore but it runs well. And anyone who said that the system doesnt run well well better check they havent been misusing the phone. The design may not inspire many but whats the point of having a good design but a phone that doesnt cost well. Now its still selling like 2 years after it was released which says something about the S3. Loving the device.Build quality 9/10Reception 8/10Call quality 8/10Internet 9/10Multimedia 9/10Camera 8/10UI speed 10/10Everyday usage 10/10Text input 9/10Display 10/10Battery 10/10

Best 2012 smartphone
NăstaseFilip has owned it for less than year before publishing this review
It is an awesome phone. I like it very much. It was the best at his time. It has a nice design ( but with a cheap plastic), very good camera, awesome display (although it has only 720p) good CPU, good GPU, good battery (it charges very fast, but discharges fast, a second battery is good ). Sometimes is lagging but I have too many apps installed. Is a very good phone for everyday usage ( a second battery is good ). The internet speed is good. Games like Fifa 15 and Asphalt 8 are usually working very good, but sometimes they are lagging. It's good that a SD card can be used.Build quality 10/10Reception 10/10Call quality 10/10Internet 10/10Multimedia 10/10Camera 10/10UI speed 10/10Everyday usage 10/10Text input 10/10Display 10/10Battery 10/10

- Internal memory
- Replaceable battery
- Micro SD card
- Sometimes is lagging
- Cheap plastic

Not a bad daily driver
nickdlr has owned it for more than one year before publishing this review
I had one for AT&T for about a year and a half. It doesn't do great with drops - my screen is shattered from falling 2 feet onto hardwood. Touchwiz is garbage - bloatware galore - and it shows in the UI. Besides that, the UI is pretty and works well when it works. Good screen size, pretty good camera and video recording, customizability is pretty good too. Solid phone for the price.Build quality 7/10Reception 8/10Call quality 9/10Internet 8/10Multimedia 8/10Camera 8/10UI speed 7/10Everyday usage 8/10Text input 8/10Display 8/10Battery 6/10

S3 is a perfect phone.Display is very nice and clean, good colors and viewing angels.Processor quad core is very good, and works very well, it can handle everything.I mostly like a camera.Makes outstanding photos!Has many features, I think that made of S2 and S3 is best thing Samsung ever did.Honestly, i like more S3 then S4.Phone is totally worth the money, in Serbia new phone is 210 Euros, which is awsome price for this device.Buy it, you wont regret it!Build quality 10/10Reception 10/10Call quality 10/10Internet 10/10Multimedia 10/10Camera 10/10UI speed 10/10Everyday usage 10/10Text input 10/10Display 10/10Battery 10/10

The first 3 or 4 weeks i was so unbelivevably happy the phone worked amazingly. after that it lagged so much, and because of a very bad software update the speaker would randomly turn on while listening to music with headphones, samsung said there was no way to fix it....it wasnt a very big deal but a later software update stopped the camera from working so i rooted it to Cyanogen ModBuild quality 5/10Reception 6/10Call quality 6/10Internet 9/10Multimedia 6/10Camera 3/10UI speed 4/10Everyday usage 5/10Text input 9/10Display 6/10Battery 5/10

Samsung Galaxy s3:worst phone and Samsung: worst after sales service provider
vishalgupta.nitb has owned it for less than year before publishing this review
And the well reputed Samsung Mobile India finally accepted that " We will not repair your phone under warranty" in warranty time. Reason being "You have misused the phone. You would have charged your phone when light was fluctuating" and " You would have thrown your phone in water" etc etc.
Dear Samsung, please prove it if you are so sure about misusing. I could also say that I was given the faulty motherboard etc etc.
I understand it is just 10 days of my warranty time just so it is justified from your side to delay the matter. You cannot even accept the responsibility of the the issue I am facing from last 9 months, just after 2 months of purchasing. Dear Samsung Mobile India, I would like to bring to your notice that I live in a hostel where there are many persons charge their phone at a time. If fluctuation would have happened, many of my hostel mates' phones of the brands like zen, lava, spice etc would have burnt completely. But no other motherboard is burnt except my flagship phone S3's motherboard. I was fool to pay a huge 30k money for a phone I thought will be the value for money. I should have purchased the phones worth 10k (the money you are asking now to replace motherboard) of the brands lava, spice etc giving same feature as yours whose motherboards can bear minor light fluctuations. Dear Samsung, I have purchased and paid the huge sum for S3 just for your brand. I had never thought that would be the worst decision of my life. Customer care representatives are saying...Build quality 3/10Reception 2/10Call quality 7/10Internet 6/10Multimedia 4/10Camera 7/10UI speed 5/10Everyday usage 2/10Text input 3/10Display 4/10Battery 5/10

This was my first 'proper' smartphone, and I cannot believe how bad it is, first of all the UI; it lagged using the stock Android supplied to an infuriating degree. I managed to rectify this by installing Cyanogen Mod, which improved things no end. Camera is poor; there's too many cons to mentionBuild quality 1/10Reception 10/10Call quality 5/10Internet 9/10Multimedia 8/10Camera 5/10UI speed 3/10Everyday usage 4/10Text input 10/10Display 7/10Battery 1/10
- Nice screen size
- Expandable by Micro-SD (32GB)
- Almost universal charger
- Awful lag on stock UI
- Poor battery life
- Very easily damaged
- Flimsy construction
- Generates a lot of heat (battery)
- Poor battery life
- Because of the rate new phones are brought out, it makes it redundant within less than half a year
- Lack of updates
- App crashes

I've owned Samsung's old flagship smartphone for over a year (even an hour seems like an eternity in hell), and the experience left an astoundingly bitter taste.
I've constantly experienced lag issues, painfully slow performance in almost all situations - for example: the stock camera or browser would take 5-8 seconds to start up, random restarts, apps freezing. I tried every official and unofficial tip and workaround I could get - to no avail.
It was all blamed - of course - on issues with the way I used the phone, app problems and so on - until allowing support to test the phone personally. While they were looking for a solution, the phone died completely (good timing, for once) and I was issued a refurbished unit as a replacement. New phone, same problems, but this one didn't completely sign off, so I was stuck with it, waiting for an "update that would solve such issues".
Apart from the phone issues, I went through 4 (four) chargers in 9 months - eventually, something would happen to them that would cause an inexplicably slow charge (about 30% over 7 hours). Once I switched to using chargers from other manufacturers, the charging issues stopped.
Since I know people who did not experience these problems, it might have just been bad luck (twice in a row), but such crippling software issues, cheap-looking exterior and unhelpful support make this phone a laughable "flagship". As long as the company sticks to these practices, I will not buy a Samsung smartphone again.Build quality 6/10Reception 9/10Call quality 9/10Internet 3/10Multimedia 7/10Camera 6/10UI speed 3/10Everyday usage 2/10Text input 1/10Display 9/10Battery 6/10

- Games would run smooth (ironically)
- Expandable memory
- Poor performance in all situations
- Unexplicable lagging & restarting
- Poor support
- Slow, bloated UI
- Low quality feel and look

i bought it because it was on sale unlocked in my country and turned out to be amazing. I have wished to have since it's release and i can tell wasn't dissapointed. The phone itsef is gorgeous, but seems too fragile so with a case y seems much more heavier and thicker, but that's just personal opinion. Overall the performance is great, i have encounter any issues except that it heats a lot when playing games, any kind even with the ones of low graphics.Build quality 9/10Reception 10/10Call quality 9/10Internet 10/10Multimedia 10/10Camera 10/10UI speed 9/10Everyday usage 9/10Text input 9/10Display 9/10Battery 8/10

the best phone i ever have
yousef.gamal has owned it for less than month before publishing this review
Samsung galaxy s3 is the best smartphone at all.
S3 vs HTC ONE x:
In addition htc one x has got a faster cpu,but it isn't used as well as Samsung's. for example in SGS3 you can see your video when you are sending a message.or when you are browsing web,you see that samsung is too better than htc.
Also SGS3 uses a 4.8 Super AMOLED screen that takes much less charge than Super IPS LCD which is used in htc one x and the colors are more living in SGS3.
S3 vs Apple iphone 5 :
It is not fair to compare iphone5 with SGS 3! Because iphone 5 has come after SGS3. But you can not compare the Quad core1400 MHz cpu of the SGS3 with the Dual core 1300MHz cpu of the iphone5!
I have to say that apple has got a very good Build quality and everyone knows that but it doesn't mean that apple is better.I think both of them are good phones but SGS3 has got a better results than iphone 5.Build quality 10/10Reception 10/10Call quality 10/10Internet 10/10Multimedia 10/10Camera 10/10UI speed 10/10Everyday usage 10/10Text input 10/10Display 10/10Battery 9/10

Not a flagship or upgrade (anymore?)
Wizard has owned it for less than month before publishing this review
Fine if u only look at the display from a distance, don't shoot photo's indoors, don't mind upgrades are delayed to not outshine S4, and 'quadcore' sounds better than dualcore when recent dualcores are much faster.
- Display has only green dots in 720p: red and blue are only half 720p. And shows notable green shade at even slight angles :(
- CPU and GPU are old: newer dualcores outperform S3
- Updates are held back to favour S4
- Camera only shines in bright light: is easily outperformed by my old Xperia Ray from 2010 (and was half the price)
- Build quality is fragile and lacks finesse. Even my old Ray has aluminum sides, and will withstand regular drops 10 times better.
Flagship?? Even in 2012? I don't see it. My Xperia Ray did everything I could possibly want and need, and thios was not an improvement. Sent it back. Especialy costing 3x what I payed for my old Xperia Ray, early 2012.Build quality 4/10Reception 7/10Call quality 7/10Internet 7/10Multimedia 7/10Camera 4/10UI speed 5/10Everyday usage 7/10Text input 7/10Display 2/10Battery 7/10
