Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 showed-off in a video
Share:
Back in March, these devices made headlines with their slimness (8.6 mm) - as a matter of fact, that's even thinner than the impressively slim iPad 2 - and now we can present you with a video of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 that shows the tablet in all its beauty.
Fair enough, it's not very informative about the tablet's capabilities, but it's still refreshing to see this great gadget in flesh. The Wi-Fi version of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 is set to launch on June 8 - the 16GB model will cost $469, while the 32GB one is priced at $569.

Weak IOS5 just weak! Samsung is beating Apple at its own game. Apple didn't invent the tablet just so you know. They copied it and made it their own. Touch screen tech was out before the iPhone, they copied it and made it their own. So the moral of this story is Apple copied & made it their own, don't be mad that Samsung is doing the same, BUT the difference is the Samsung tabs are better! lol
iSheep always hopping around never making sense! lol

please. . . why don't you figure out who apple copied for the iPhone and iPad.
You have to be deep in Jobs' RDF if you really think they didn't copy others.
Do a little research before spewing such BS!

i didn't say that Apple invent the touch screen Super Android Evo, I know that touch screen out before Apple but the resistive touch!

Again your showing only that you are clueless. Mult-touch has been around for 30+ years. Apple didn't invent anything about it.
So, show us apple's patents for the creation of "resistive touch" hardware.
Funny, ELO comes up when I search for the inventor of resistive touchscreens.

Apple didn't invent anything, they just have a very good design and marketing team.
Most of the major components for the iphone 4 come from competitors, screen from samsung, chips from ARM. etc.

its really sad although andriod really try to beat apple but it seems to lack something.
Android tablets for one goes out of style too fast! Its new when u buy it but after 2 weeks a better one comes out n u stick with this old slower one :(
Apple: there is only one tablet a year of if u have a ipad 2 u will be good for atleast a year
Android tablets have some lagg issues, not as smooth (i tried it in best buy store)
Apple: the screen is really smooth no lagg at all
Apps: apple totally kill andriod on this one :(
P.S not an apple lover but im sayin the facts:( Look at my name n i use driod x which is an andriod phone

That is always going to happen when you have a million companies making Android Tablets/Phones. Apple has one and if you get a tablet for looks than that sucks. Android will make tablets that are increasing in power every time, while Apple just has an aging tablet until the new one arrives. Remember Android is new to the tablet game. I can bet the Samsung Tablets will not lag. Apple is witnessing the way Android is dominating the mobile market. Apple just can't keep up with every other company out there. Once Intel & AMD start using their chips on phones & tablets it's just another obstacle Apple has to jump through! Intel already announced they are going to be making chips for Android Tablets/Phones, it’s only a matter of time until AMD jumps on the bandwagon too. It’s a fight Apple can’t win. 1 company vs. every other company. Android is just going to be too big. Apple’s fighting chance will be to let other manufacturers make the hardware for the iOS to survive the Android mass growth! Let’s see if that materializes!

honestly i say go for what u need feature wise..
apple needs widgets (iphone4 needs bigger screen like 4.3")
apple has more apps (specially after JB) but android catching up
new samsung tabs hav better scrn resolution n cam,
even acer or the others can comepete as well
android 3.1 might catch up with the lagg issue
so far apple is still good but its jus all a matter of choice
coz android is actually not bad specially with all those
competing companies offering better specs with cam,
screen resolution, speakers, etc.
-my two cents

Actually it's already been reported that Android has more free apps than Apple, plus they are projected to pass up the Apple App store in less than 6 months so that argument is basically over. Also, the camera on the iPad 2 is TERRIBLE! I can't understand why Apple with the reputation for quality would allow such junk to be in one of their devices?

Listen folks... If you are buying a tablet and want top notch hardware and reliability day after day, Apple is no doubt a good choice. What kills me is that they have a level of arrogance that is out of this world!!! If I'm spending in the range of $2000 for a 3G or 4G phone or tablet (monthly charge/cost of phone), I want to be admin of the damn thing. That's what I love about the open source OS systems.

So as a neutral person in the Android/iOS battle...just a factual question. Why does iPad in its lack of features/outdated hardware continue to run circles around the other tablet offerings? is it THAT many sheep out there? it is yet to be determined with the new Galaxy tab offerings but the original Galaxy tab results...let's not go there, we all know what a flop even at a $199.99 price this tab continues to be. the majority seem to believe Android tablets are way better than iOS tablets but the sales figures demonstrate otherwise. There is yet someone who can give a sensible answer on why this is case other than the played out "iSheep" angle. XOOM sales...are pathetic as well as all of these insignificant Android tablets out there (Viewsonic, Acer, etc.). Everyone is entitled to their opinion but it seems to be a lot of ppl's mission on this site to put down the iPad but iPad dominates the tablet market. Apple didn't invent the tablet but everyone seems to be using them as a template. I'm not putting down Android I'm just stating reality here not an opinion.
