Samsung Galaxy S8 to include 'Beast Mode?'
We've referred to high-end smartphones before as "beasts, " but this might be the first time that one actually has a "Beast mode." Samsung has filed with the EU to trademark the phrase Beast mode. Knowing full well the pitfalls of making an assumption, we will say that this could be a new mode for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8. The latter is expected to be unveiled in New York City, possibly as soon as April.

Supporting this theory is the documentation, which shows that the name could be applied to a smartphone or even a smartphone operating system. In certain regions, the Galaxy S8 is rumored to be powered by the new Snapdragon 835 chipset. Other markets will use the next-generation Exynos chip. Both will be manufactured using the 10nm process, allowing either chip to bring the power without consuming excessive amounts of energy. We also could see 8GB of RAM inside, giving the device smooth multi-tasking capabilities.

One thing for sure, if Samsung does include some sort of overdriving Beast mode on the Galaxy S8, we're sure to hear about it in Samsung's marketing of the device.

So now there could be two reasons to look forward to April; it will be the start of the 2017 Major League Baseball season, and it could be the month that sees Samsung introduce its new flagship handset.

I don't know. Some people will consider this the best news all day. The only reason this wouldn't sound interesting is if it's not an option you'd consider. Who doesn't want beast mode?

Beast Mode will give your team a 24% greater chance of a game-winning drive if you spike the phone before kicking it through the uprights.

I wish Samsung can have several different configurations for the hardware as some other manufacturers, so people could choose what they need.

Things like: 4GB ram with 32TB storage, 6GB ram with 64GB storage...etc.

they are being stingy with storage. i still remember the days when other OEMs were offering 32GB and 64GB as standard, Samsung was still lagging behind with 16GB on their flagships.

It would be too expensive. It would be easy if componnets didn't need to be soldered.

What would be better is, if you could order a specific configuration directly from the manufacturer vs mass producing different options.

So you go online and you can pick a phone like you do with PC's and you get to choose from a limited configuration list, locked to a carrier or unlocked and more.

So you could choose storage, microUSB or USB Type, duo or single SIM, and have the card inside too when it arrives.

Surely this option would be quite pricey and you have to consider if its worth the while.

Even better if you could choose the OS too...like Android vs Tizen.

if anyone could do it, Samsung could.

Do you live in 2014?
S7 has 32GB, now with 128GB on new model. Note7 had 64GB as standard.

The M7 had 32GB but then then M8 downgraded to 16GB so Samsung weren't alone

The S4 was some crap? Are you kidding? That was the most innovative and feature-packed smartphone in 2013!

I second that^^.

He probably is confusing the iPhone's storage capacity shenanigan with those of Android flagships.

That kind of mode shows poor software. A Kernel should figure this out automatically and run the processor on full speed when needed. This kind of mode is only useful in benchmarking scenario since in normal use it will churn through the battery insanely quickly. In other words, it's a useless marketing gimmick. No wonder only Chinese skins use it.

Exactly. Kernels should do all the work... Software only a small margin.

gimmick. i guess thats the selling point for the 20% increase in price for net decrease and losses incurred due to the note7 flop.
