SamMobile spotted a couple of references in Samsung's own Kies app that confirms that the GT-i9300 model is for the Samsung Galaxy S III
. The Kies software, used for syncing, shows two variants of the Samsung Galaxy S III. One is labeled as the Samsung GT-i9300 and other is the Samsung GT-i9300T. The "T" could stand for a different radio frequency used in a different country or by a different carrier.
As far as the image is concerned, both show the Samsung GALAXY Note above the model number as a placeholder until the Korean based manufacturer introduces the Samsung Galaxy S III, expected on May 3rd. There has been speculation that Samsung would be making the Samsung Galaxy S III an incremental update in the same way that the Apple iPhone 4S followed the Apple iPhone 4
with an 8MP camera, dual-core processor and Siri. That same speculation calls for Samsung to use a different name for the phone instead of Samsung Galaxy S III
. Pointing in that direction, Samsung's invitation for the May 3rd event where the device is expected to be introduced, called the model "The next Samsung Galaxy"
