Microsoft executive hints that a new version of the Microsoft Surface is coming soon
Microsoft executive Julie Larson-Green, Corporate VP for Windows, appeared at the Wired Business Conference on Tuesday and hinted that a new Microsoft Surface device will be introduced by the Redmond based firm within weeks. At the same time, the executive followed up on Monday's post on the company's blog that confirmed the existence of the Windows Blue update.

Green told those at the conference that a preview of the Windows Blue update will be released next month. She also said to expect hands-on testing of Windows 8.1 powered small screened devices to begin in June. The Microsoft executive stated that updates for Windows 8 will be available at various times during the year, and will improve things like device performance and battery life.

I hope the next surface RT tablet has a tegra 4 clocked at 2 gHz. And Microsoft needs to take advantage of that tegra prowess and make a dedicated 360 sweet for the next RT tablet...I mean virtually compatibale in every way... Not only that, but the 360 controller needs to work with with RT tablet. And if it is going to be priced the same as an iPad (lets face it...microsoft won't learn) give it a 1200x 2132 pixel display at the same 10.6 inches. I think the ppi is like 220/230 something.

In fact, i would want RT surface to be a gaming centered device with extreme tablet capabilities rather than an iPad competitor. I mean, seriously, I'd invest my money into that....Me and my wishful thinking.

I really am looking forward to a surface 2. I love my surface rt. I just hope blue brings more of Windows phones features to Windows 8. There's a BIG experience disconnect between my surface Rt & my Lumina 920.
