Lumia 535 leaks out in China with Microsoft branding
Yesterday, Microsoft announced that it will be unveiling the first Microsoft branded Lumia model on November 11th. Today, some information (and photos!) have leaked out of China about this handset. Said to be the Lumia 535, we can see from the leaked images that the Microsoft name is clearly printed on the top of the phone. On the back, the company's imprint is also visible.

Rumored specs of the Microsoft Lumia 535 include a 5-inch glass with resolution of 540 x 960 (qHD). A 1.2GHz Snapdragon 200 CPU is expected to be present, along with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of native storage. The camera on back is believed to weigh in at 5MP, while the front-facing shooter is said to be .3MP. The whole shebang will be powered by a 1900mAh battery, and the phone should support the use of Dual SIM cards.

Microsoft will supposedly offer seven color variations for the Lumia 535. The unveiling will take place on Tuesday, at which time we should know more information such as pricing and availability.

still , this is a piece of s**t . I'm a nokia lumia user and I will never buy any phone branded with Microsoft . A lot of people would be ashamed to hold a device like that in their hands.

I have a beater Microsoft/Nokia Lumia 520 and what I wanted from it was:
- frontal camera
- bigger screen
- dual sim
- more memory
- more CPU
- flash
(in this order)
Microsoft Lumia 535 delivers exactly that, so I'll say good move Microsoft!
Still waiting for the new high end Microsoft phones though.

Looks really weird with just Microsoft on it and no Nokia. We'll probably get used to it in a year.

Hope it doesn't end up like their Kin siblings.
The design language still screams Nokia and I was expecting a design similar to Microsoft Surface but then lets wait for a year for a full redesign of Windows (Phone).

I would hope they would learn their lesson after that, though those weren't really smartphones to begin with. The Zune HD was a good device and iPod Touch alternative (cheaper and better sound at the time) but it was poorly marketed.

They've done a good job with Surface and are now on track on unifying the whole software side of things. Hopefully it won't take them a year as the competition is moving fast unless they provide something that the others don't.

Hahaha it's Microsoft's reply to Moto E but I guess Moto E still holds it's own right to being the best entry level offering by a good company...

lumia 520/525 remain the best affordable smartphone ever happen

1. it was the first before moto e/g
2. krait 300 s4 processor destroy snapdragon 200/400 cortex a7

for more clarification lumia 520 share same processor with moto x 2013 except moto x is 1.8ghz and 520 one is 1 ghz

BUT lumia 520/525 is missing some important things and the most important one is the front facing camera!!!

Yeah about the Moto X 2013 part, you're smoking pot.
Anyhow Moto E is the best entry level droid and what this phone is actually missing is that it's 0.3mp camera is actually no better than having no camera...

Having a poor front facing camera is better than not having one. Not good for taking photos but at least you can do videocalls with that.

You forgot that the Moto X also used an Adreno 320 GPU. The same GPU as the Galaxy S4 and HTC one (M7). The 520 has an Adreno 305 GPU. That's a huge difference. Plus the Moto X has 2gb of ram vs only 512mb for the lumia 52X.

2gb vs 512mb in the windows world means nothing. Because the way the OS runs, it's not a apples to apples comparison.

Just like the 925 vs S4, different specs yet the lumia is 'smoother' apps load faster, at least for me. Our s4 maybe has 30 apps on it, my 925 has something like 90. Yet despite this, the store loads faster on the lumia, apps like zedge gallery and plenty of others loads faster. Yet its 2gb vs 1gb, and different cpu's as well.

In the entire windows store, less than .01% of the apps (of which the 300 that there are there, 295 is from one company).

Point being 512mb on a windows phone is not the same as 512mb on a android.

Hopefully Microsoft has some killer flagship ready to unveil to bring the Microsoft branded handsets as premium brand. They did some innovate cool stuff with their tablets. They need to pull something off similar in the premium handset range.

All the recent phone releases tend to be those cheap priced youth phones rather than anything premium.

Like a Surface series for windows phone or windows as they'd like to call it now. The Surface phone would a standard 5.2 inch size flagship and the Surface Pro phone is the phablet sized Note 4/IPhone 6 Plus/Nexus 6 rival with some optimisation for the larger screen. I'd defo jump on board if MS came out with killer specs on a revamped Windows 10 UI.

They had to change it, if it wasn't today, it would be next year. They did not buy the name, just the division.

Sorry this looks terrible. Just remember how good looking older budget Lumias were, like 620 and 720 (both had personality) and even 520.

The 720 is IMO the best looking phone ever made (and it's a mid-ranger, not a budget phone ;-) ); this one isn't bad, bur it's nowhere near the 720 or 1520. It basically looks like a 1320. I really hope they don't go for this design with the 1530 and 1030...!

finally someone to agree with about the s**tty designs of the new lumia phones and what's that with the glossy plastic thing ???? where did polycarbonate go ? even if it's a budget phone it should look nice at least !!

Polycarbonate is still there. Are you seriously thinking that gloss means it is not? The 1520 had gloss, oh no it's not polycarbonate...fail.

Cannot find a decent place to buy the Honor Holly. Which means it is probably not sold in the USA, so making it usd is pointless cause you are using incorrect pricing.

If I cannot find it on someplace like Amazon its a 'fail' for me.

Unlikely. I've calculated the (total) diagonal at 5.88 inch. I'd say it is 5 inch screen diagonal. For a 4.5 inch screen the bezels would be much bigger.

sheep are the people who think Nokia was held at gunpoint like you seem to think they are.

No the board and investors hired Elop. NOT a SINGLE PHONE with meego was ready. LTE was 4-5yrs out. Symbian was old and tired and far behind sucking money and resources.

This place is becoming phonetarded more than a great place to see comments and news.
