LG teases 'something new' with a picture: expect a mid-range LG Class phablet

LG teases 'something new' with a picture: expect a mid-range LG Class phablet

LG is teasing 'something new' coming up on September 21st, and French leakster Steve Hammerstoffer believes the image that LG has posted is of a phone that will be called the ‘LG Class’.

This upcoming handset features the signature for LG rear-positioned volume and power keys, but what’s interesting is a new turn for LG design with a much boxier, seemingly metallic body.

At its core this rumored LG Class (also referred to as LG-H740) remains a mid-range phablet, with no ambitions to rival the big names in the industry such as Apple’s iPhone 6s Plus or the Samsung Galaxy Note5. Instead, this upcoming phone will compete on price terms and with its distinct looks, it has a couple of aces up its sleeve.

As to the LG Class specs, here is what can be expected:

Platform: Android 5.1.1 Lollipop
Screen: 5.7-inch with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels
SoC: Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 @ 1.5GHz
RAM: 2GB
Cameras: 12-megapixel main camera, 5-megapixel front cam
Internal storage: 8GB

It’s immediately obvious that the low amount of internal storage will be the biggest limitation to this phone, but chances are that you will be able to expand the storage via microSD cards.

How do you like this upcoming new LG phone and its design?

8gb internal + expandable up to 64gb is better than 32gb or 16gb but not expandable...

this phone with its specs is still a very good contender and i would definetely consider it

this should be the design of LG G4 Pro. Boxier design is looking more compelling and cool

What are you talking about dude?? all the latest mid-range phones from Samsung & Sony comes with at least 16GB of internal storage + micro sd card support.

The 8GB is too low for a smartphone with 5.7 inch screen, the Android system can takes up to 4GB + Some pre installed apps that you can't uninstall you will be lucky if you can get more than 3GB of free internal storage.

After you installed all the SNS apps, IM apps, Office apps and Photography related apps, it will leaves you with very limited storage for your favorite games.
And you will have some serious storage problem if your favorite games are Graphically Intensive Games.

And please don't say anything about root because most people never root their phones.

Expandable memory isn't enough to save that pitiful 8gb because even though you can move apps to SD a lot of files still get saved to internal memory and 8gb goes away very fast with a load of small files and caches eating it up.

sometime some companies think that ppl are fool. Rumoured 8gb is a joke. 120$ Huawei Honor 3c has 16gb

I think it's pretty sexy. Better looking than my G4 (its looks got a bit bland rather quickly)

but still, at 8GB u cant install that much of app and game..
but for those who only use their phone for socmed, chat, and photos (just like 80% human around me) 8GB + microSD is enough

there are many phones in 2015 which are inspired by the outstanding design of Mate 7. So Mate 7 is the 2nd phone after iphone which companies like to copy.

Is it metal? Is it plastic?.... Hm. If that phone gets upgraded to Android M the storage won't be a problem for most. I'd buy it..

The back of the phone looks pretty good but the 8GB of internal storage is ruined everything about this phone.

The android system usually takes up around 4GB with some pre installed apps you'll end up with about 3GB of free internal storage in the worst case scenario you even can get less free internal storage like Xperia M4 8GB version (1.2+GB before deleting some pre installed apps & only 1.7+GB after).

On the other hands Samsung Galaxy A8 & J7 comes with 32GB & 16GB internal storage.
Sony Xperia C5 Ultra & C4 also comes with 16GB of internal storage and all of them support micro sd card.

if its a metal phone then lg might just be teasing us with what to expect on the lg g5 like Samsung did with the alpha before the s6
