Hulu Plus arrives on tablets, Vizio 8 is the first to get it

Ever wondered why you’d need the 8-inch sub-$300 Vizio 8 tablet doubling as probably the most advanced TV remote ever? Well, you might have had your reasons, but with its exclusive support for Hulu Plus, there’s one more. Hulu Plus brings a huge collection of movies and shows on the tablet for $7.99 a month. Combined with the slate’s support for HDMI and mirroring to an HD TV, the offer is definitely one of the most affordable ones out there. Hulu Plus is expected to arrive on other tablets later.
Except for that, the Vizio 8 has a humble spec sheet but you wouldn’t exactly expect an iPad competitor at that price point... or given the HP TouchPad, would you? In any case, the 8 incher isn’t your typical Android tablet is it runs on the non-optimized for tablets Gingerbread. It comes with 2 gigs of built in memory, expandable to 32GB via a microSD card.
