Archos 80 Cesium Windows 8.1 tablet to be launched soon for around $149
Earlier this year, French gadget maker Archos announced its very first Windows Phone 8.1 handset - the 40 Cesium - while saying that it would also introduce a Windows 8.1 tablet. The tablet is called Archos 80 Cesium, and it’s been fully unveiled this week.

Just like the 40 Cesium smartphone, the Archos 80 Cesium is an affordable device that doesn’t offer high-end specs. The tablet sports an 8-inch IPS display with 800 x 1280 pixels, and obviously comes with lots of Microsoft apps and services (like Office 365, Xbox Games, Xbox Music, and Xbox Video).

Powered by a quad-core 1.8 GHz Intel Atom Z3735G processor, the Archos 80 Cesium features a 2 MP rear camera, VGA front-facing camera, 1 GB of RAM, 16 GB of expandable storage space, and a 4000 mAh battery. Archos initially mentioned that the tablet would cost $149, but it’s not clear if this is its final price.

Archos did not say exactly when the 80 Cesium would be available to buy. In any case, the tablet seems to be headed to the US and Europe. Any takers?
