The iPhone 18 Pro is one of the most anticipated devices, and now, thanks to a new leak, one big debate has finally been settled. Prolific tipster Fixed-focus Digital posted on Weibo their opinion on the correct Dark Cherry color variant for the iPhone 18 Pro.

Among the first to report on this new "Dark Cherry" color was Bloomberg's Mark Gurman. The industry insider described the color as "deep red." Different dummy models and renders of the color have been circulating the internet since, and, according to Fixed-focus Digital, the deeper, darker color is the correct one.

The Chinese tipster said in its post that the color is "a purplish-red, almost like cherry." This corroborates other leaks, especially the dummy models posted by leaker Sonny Dickson. Those showed the iPhone 18 Pro Max in four colors, including the aforementioned "Dark Cherry" variant.

Back in April, our colleagues at Macworld reported that Apple is preparing a new shade for the iPhone 18 Pro models. The hue was described as a deep, wine-like red and also dubbed "Dark Cherry."
The report also suggested that this new color would replace the Cosmic Orange color of the iPhone 17 Pro and also listed the Pantone color code of the expected shade (the solid color in the image above).

Another leak from Instant Digital further cemented the name and the shade of this new color, saying it's a mix of burgundy, coffee, and deep purple.
"Dark Cherry" is expected to be a hit on the iPhone 18 Pro

The four iPhone 18 Pro Max dummy models, posted by Sonny Dickson back in May, show the new "Dark Cherry" next to the Light Blue, Black, and Silver color variants.
The leaker thinks this new color will be an instant hit when it arrives on the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, as it's vastly different from anything Apple has offered in the past in terms of colors.
The iPhone Ultra will most likely still the show

Apple is expected to officially unveil the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and its first foldable device, the iPhone Ultra, next month.
According to the latest rumors, the iPhone 18 Pro could be quite expensive; different leaks place the price between $1,399 and $1,500 for the base variant.
If this price hike is real, no color would make people dish our that kind of money. I think the iPhone Ultra will be the one to steal the show and probably even sell better. Although, the iPhone 18 Pro Max is expected to once again top the sales charts.
What do you think about this new "Dark Cherry" color? Do you like it, and would you buy the iPhone 18 Pro at $1,500?
