Straightforward

As carriers navigate the intensely competitive wireless market, poaching customers has become crucial.

Verizon previously rolled out a promo offering lower rates to AT&T and T-Mobile customers than their current plans. The carrier didn't always make good on its promise.

T-Mobile's promo doesn't have loopholes and is a more direct attack on the competition.

The joys of being a new customer

Carriers always save the best perks for new customers. While this is a prime opportunity for AT&T, Verizon, and MVNO customers to pocket some cash, they might not necessarily be better off over the course of their tenure at T-Mobile.

If you are willing to switch to T-Mobile, you might also want to compare monthly rates and other details before pulling the trigger to make sure the savings last beyond the first month.
