Samsung's Galaxy Tab A8 mid-ranger is an incredible bargain with warranty and cover
In lack of a new slate to go with its hot new foldable phones, smartwatches, and true wireless earbuds, the "old" Galaxy Tab A8 is still undeniably the best Samsung tablet to buy on a tight budget these days.

With a reasonably large 10.5-inch display, reasonably powerful octa-core processor, and reasonably recent Android 12 software set to come as an over-the-air update soon, this solid alternative to Apple's "standard" 10.2-inch iPad from last year is obviously that much more attractive at a substantial discount over its normal starting price of $230.

$149.99, for instance, is a crazy low price to pay for a 64GB storage variant backed by a full 1-year warranty and bundled with an always handy book cover. This particular Wi-Fi-only configuration of the late 2021-unveiled and early 2022-released Galaxy Tab A8 regularly costs $279.99 by itself in brand-new condition at retailers like Amazon and Best Buy.

It's probably not fair to compare that with "open box" units sold on eBay in a single gray color option, but the aforementioned warranty and the vendor's nearly flawless reputation arguably make this an unrefusable special offer for cash-strapped Android tablet lovers.

In a number of ways, of course, the comparison between the Galaxy Tab A8 and the hugely popular ninth-gen iPad doesn't stand, but finding the latter Apple-made product at 150 bucks with a 12-month warranty and no strings attached is about as likely as seeing Bigfoot getting a tan on a crowded Miami beach during spring break.

The value for money provided by this deeply discounted 10.5-inch Samsung mid-ranger is pretty much unrivaled on the Android tablet scene as well, especially given the company's stellar software support as far as both handsets and slates are concerned. That's right, we do fully expect to see the Tab A8 updated to Android 13... eventually.
