Huge new Amazon discount makes the undesirable Galaxy S25+ a smarter buy than ever
The least popular member of last year's Galaxy S25 family might be the best high-end Samsung handset to get right now.

For instance, if your gut currently tells you that the Galaxy S25 Plus delivers better value for your money than not just the "vanilla" S25 and S25 Ultra but the Galaxy S26, S26 Plus, and S26 Ultra as well, then I believe you might be onto something. And if not, I am going to tell you that, at least as long as last year's 6.7-inch Snapdragon 8 Elite powerhouse can be had at a massive (and pretty unusual) $320 discount from a $999.99 list price.
This is not a completely unprecedented Amazon deal, mind you, but it does improve the e-commerce giant's previous Galaxy S25+ price cut by 20 bucks, which is... obviously not a lot. Then again, that $300 markdown was already pretty great, so naturally, this new offer is even better. And it's made that much more compelling by the higher $1,099.99 regular price of the new and (very slightly) improved Galaxy S26 Plus.
On top of all that, Samsung's 6.7-inch Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 powerhouse happens to be sold at... no notable discounts by both Amazon and the handset's manufacturer, which clearly works great in the S25 Plus's favor as well.
Now, it is definitely important to point out that our comprehensive Galaxy S25+ review last year called the phone "brilliantly unremarkable", but it's equally crucial to highlight that the unflattering description was made taking the original $999.99 price into consideration.

At $320 off, I'm sure the device is worthy of a totally different label, especially in today's mobile landscape, where all phones are significantly costlier than this time last year. That clearly includes the Galaxy S26 Plus, which looks... almost identical to its predecessor at first glance while also keeping everything from the screen size and resolution to all the camera hardware, 4,900mAh battery capacity, and 45W charging speeds unchanged.
