Phantom Blade Zero is getting its own pair of XR glasses, and they ship the same day the game does. VITURE and S-GAME announced the Phantom Beast today, a $599 special edition of the company's flagship Beast glasses that runs off a single USB-C cable from an iPhone, a Galaxy S26 Ultra or one of the best gaming phones.
Phantom Beast pre-orders open today, with a launch date tied to the game
VITURE and S-GAME pulled the covers off the Phantom Beast at Worlds of Play: The Game Art Exhibition in Cologne, Germany. Pre-orders open today at $599, and VITURE is keeping them exclusive to viture.com and the IGN Store.
Shipping starts October 29, the same day Phantom Blade Zero arrives on PS5 and PC, after S-GAME pushed the game back 50 days from its original September 9 date.
This was personal for me. Wuxia is part of how I grew up, and Phantom Blade Zero honors that world in a way I've been waiting to see for a long time. Building Phantom Beast let us do more than put a logo on a product, we built a way for people who've never set foot in the Wulin to feel like they belong there. That's what VITURE exists to do: put you inside the story, not just in front of it.

That framing matters here, because everything genuinely new about the Phantom Beast sits on the outside of the glasses rather than inside them.

Which part of the Phantom Beast sells it for you?
What $50 over the standard Beast is really buying you
So the $50 premium, roughly nine percent, is paying for artwork, a case, a lanyard, a reskinned menu and a box of collectibles. That is a collector's purchase, and there is nothing wrong with that as long as nobody walks in expecting a sharper picture out of it.

Our review of the Beast called it promising but in need of some fixes, and the comparison we kept circling back to was Xreal. The Beast holds its brightness in anchored display mode, where Xreal's glasses cut theirs substantially, and its 58-degree field of view edges past the One Pro's 57 degrees with less distortion along the edges.
If you already own an Xreal 1S at $449, none of this really changes your math. The same goes for anyone on the One Pro at $649, since there is no display advantage here that the standard Beast did not already have.
This is VITURE selling a theme to people who were in the market anyway, not a move against a rival.
A weapon worn: the temples, the case and a reskinned menu
Start with the metal detailing on the temples, which VITURE modeled after Soul's blade frozen mid-draw, at the exact moment it clears the scabbard. The on-screen menu has been reskinned entirely around Phantom Blade Zero's interface too, so the glasses look like the game before you have even opened it.

The case is a triangular metal drawer wrapped in textured black leather that slides open the way the game's blades do, with no lid to flip.

Specs, and what the Phantom Beast will plug into

Plug-and-play over USB-C covers Windows, macOS, iOS, Android and Steam Deck. PlayStation players need VITURE's Pro Mobile Dock, which opens up PS5, PS4, Switch, Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, while the Mobile Dock Mini handles Switch and Switch 2 on their own.

Where I would put $599 if the game is already on my list
I like this one more than I expected to. Still, anyone buying it should go in clear-eyed. You are paying $50 over the standard Beast to get the theme, and the screen behind it is the same one our review of that standard model flagged as still needing fixes.
Hopefully the menu reskin turns out to be the interesting part long term, because a display that changes character with whatever you are playing is a genuinely good idea to have sitting inside a limited edition. I would personally love to see VITURE turn that into a normal feature instead of a collector's perk.
Mint Mobile is now allowing you to get whichever plan you like for either three, six, or 12 months for just $15/mo. If you go for the six-month unlimited service, for instance, you'll now have to pay just $90 upfront instead of $210.
