The rear camera remains unchanged, but the front-facing selfie snapper got an upgrade from 16 MP to 32 MP. The same goes for the battery, which is now 200 mAh bigger on the Moto G56.
The main downside is the fact that the Moto G56 will get very few OS updates. For example, the 4 GB model will only get one major Android update, while the 8 GB version will receive two OS updates.
As far as security updates are concerned, the 4 GB variant will receive 3 years of bi-monthly updates, while the 8 GB model will get bi-monthly updates for 4 years.
The leak also revealed that the Moto G56 will be available in four different colors: Pantone Black Oyster, Pantone Gray Mist, Pantone Dazzling Blue, and Pantone Dill. No word on the price yet, but the Moto G55 is an under $200 / €200 phone, so the Moto G56 should cost around the same when it launches in the not-so-distant future.
