iPad gets camera functionality thanks to the iPhone

iPad gets camera functionality thanks to the iPhone
One feature that some thought to be blatantly absent on the Apple iPad was none other than a camera – it was almost too surprising to see it missing when just about every device offers one. Not to be outdone by a larger version of itself, the iPhone quickly swoops in to save the day for those new iPad owners who miss that one standard feature. The $1 “Camera for iPad” app will surely be accepted by many as it utilizes an iPhone to act as the iPad's camera. Specifically, it'll allow user to take photos with the iPhone's camera and then transfer it via Bluetooth to the iPad where it is automatically stored in the Saved Photos album. Unfortunately, those without an iPhone will surely be out of luck and will have to look elsewhere. At the same time, the app is only compatible with the iPhone 3G and 3GS models – so the first generation iPhone will do you no good.

The big bucks for the developer that can make it so an Android, BB, or any other phone can be used....

I have serious doubts that crApple has left a "backdoor" for any kind of work around for use with other phones, but it may be possible. But why would you need an iPad if you already have an iPhone? They do the same sh*t just one is bigger...with the exception of fanbois, some of which are sure to comment on this thread.

It's the same difference as having a big screen tv. Sure a 19 inch is good for your room but you want the 50 inch for the living room. Point is sure it does the same but bigger is better. If this weren't true then I hope you live a perfectly happy life with your 9" portable tv's.

Well to iHateCrapple's point...if I had my choice between the two...I would say the iPhone. I get the tv analogy but you're talking about two devices that do the same thing. They sit there or somewhere and you look at it, basically its in one stationary spot. An iPad you have to carry, move around, etc. No phone functionality unless you are a heavy Skype user (which I'm not at all)...so it doesn't support an all-in-one solution whereas the iPhone does. iPhone can go in my pocket or jacket...iPad? Not really. Cool device but not for me.

P.s. how is bluetooth your photos over the same as "iPad has camera functionality"? How bout iPad can view pictures via Bluetooth from an iPhone, How does a device with out a camera have camera functions? How about it has photo storing functions? Dumb ass writer. Find a real job or go work for the national inquirer.

I don't get it You can just make a photo with the iphone, sync with itunes, then sync the ipad with itunes as well. It's that simple.

Lame... Don't worry next year's iPad model will have the camera and all current iPad owners will be lining up to get the same iPad but with a camera this time. No thanks, give me the HP Slate that has everything I need now.
