I just love compact phones, and they might be coming back! This unusual iPhone 13 Mini successor got my attention. It's a device that bears the interesting name Enough Phone, and it also vows to bring small phones back.

The Enough Phone is real

Information about this device first surfaced back in June, but there weren't many details available back then. Now, the company behind the project has revealed some of the target specs and also showed dummy units.

The most impressive feature of the Enough Phone is its size, of course. There's a comparison graph on the official website of the project, placing the Enough Phone next to a 6.7-inch iPhone.

The dummy units also provide some context. One is placed next to an iPhone 16e, again for comparison purposes.

The form factor is very similar to the aforementioned iPhone 16e; both units feature a single camera and an LED flash next to it. The Enough Phone, however, looks much smaller and also comes with some interesting features.

An iPhone 13 Mini successor?

The Enough Phone is supposed to have a 5.3-inch 720 x 1520 LCD screen and measure 132.8 x 63.8 x 12 mm. This puts it very close to the iPhone 13 mini when it comes to screen size, height, and width. The Enough Phone is much thicker, though at 12 mm, but it also targets a bigger battery capacity.

Speaking of specs, they are quite modest by modern standards, but compared to the iPhone 13 mini, they are not too far off.

Who would buy this phone?

That's a good question. If the price is right, many compact phone aficionados could reach out and grab a unit. The Enough Phone looks quite basic on paper, but its existence (or at least concept) is proof that there's demand for small phones.

The price remains a mystery, though, and I'm not entirely sure this device will see the light of day, but we'll see. The company needs 20,000 people to sign up and show interest in the Enough Phone to proceed with the project. I punched my email in the mailing list and will come back to you with any further development.
