Honor has officially announced the Honor Watch 6, a new smartwatch that combines fitness tracking, health monitoring and a range of smart features in a lightweight design.
If you want a device that helps you with workouts, tracks health data and – that's important, too – looks sleek, don't pass by without saying hello.
A jack of all trades
Here's the Brown version. | Image by Honor
The Honor Watch 6 in a nutshell:
1.46-inch AMOLED screen
41 g–50 g weight, depending on the color
IP69 water and dust resistance
980 mAh battery for typical usage up to 35 days
Compatible with both Android and iOS devices
The Honor Watch 6 has an aluminum alloy body made from recyclable materials and weighs 41 grams (for the black color option), which is good news.
The watch also has polished edges and a sandblasted finish that gives it a more premium look and feel, which I'm a fan of.
What's the battery life you expect out of a smartwatch?
Plenty of modes to choose from
This brand-new smartwatch supports more than 120 sports modes and includes additional tools for activities such as trail running, badminton and whatnot. Trail runners should give the AI running coach a try as well. There's an option to monitor climbing and distance data and receive alerts if you move away from the planned route.
Positioning is handled by Honor's AccuTrack dual-band six-star GPS system, which is designed to provide more accurate tracking outdoors.

Controls with wet fingers

The display also supports touch controls with wet fingers, allowing the screen to remain usable in rainy conditions or during workouts. For badminton players, the watch can track metrics such as smash speed and consecutive rallies. Football players can access movement and heat maps that provide additional information about their activity during training.
The Honor Watch 6 comes with an IP69 rating for water and dust resistance. It also packs a 980mAh battery. According to Honor, battery life can reach up to 35 days on a single charge, which could make the watch useful for users who spend long periods outdoors or simply prefer charging less often.
Health tracking tools
Health tracking is another major part of the package. The watch continuously monitors heart rate, blood oxygen levels, stress, sleep quality, and body energy. Users can also run a Quick Health Scan to get an overview of several health indicators. The watch generates daily reports that summarize the collected data and provide a snapshot of a user's overall condition.
Honor says its IntelliSense system uses more detailed signal collection than traditional optical sensors to improve the accuracy of heart rate and blood flow measurements.
The Honor Watch 6 can connect to two smartphones at the same time, allowing notifications from both devices to appear on the watch. It also includes an AI Recorder that can create voice notes and generate summaries. Gesture controls let users perform certain actions without touching the display, including silencing alarms, managing calls, and skipping music tracks.
For payments, the smartwatch supports NFC transactions with Mastercard and Visa cards. Honor says users can make purchases directly from the watch without having to preload funds, adding another convenience feature to the device's overall list of capabilities. This feature should be available come July (which is around the corner, anyway).
Price and availability
The new Honor Watch 6 (available in Twilight Brown and Shadow Black) starting from today, June 18, from £169.99 (~$226 when directly converted).
