Days before being officially unveiled by Google, the Pixel 11 Pro XL has hit the black market for a mouthwatering price. This also likely means that we’ll be seeing detailed reviews of the phone coming out pretty soon, probably before the Pixel 11 Pro XL even has a chance to hit shelves.

Pixel 11 Pro XL hits the black market

According to a Turkish tech poster, Google Pixel 11 Pro XL models are now available on the Turkish black market. Brand new boxes can be seen bundled together available for sale, likely bought from legal channels that had received legitimate stock.

Something similar happened with the Galaxy S26 Ultra earlier this year, leading to the phone being sold before its official launch date in the UAE and Bangladesh.

Is the Pixel 11 Pro XL tempting enough to get early for an inflated price?

It doesn’t come cheap, though

The Pixel 11 Pro XL is expected to start at around $1,299 stateside, though nothing is confirmed just yet, of course. However, the models available on the black market are reportedly going for $1,700.

That might be enough to make most Pixel fans decide to wait for the official release, but there are bound to be some early buyers. Especially when you consider the fact that official smartphones in the Turkish market usually cost more than double their original price due to massive taxes.

Can we expect early Pixel 11 Pro XL reviews?

We can almost certainly guarantee that someone will buy the Pixel 11 Pro XL from the black market and make a review on it before the phone’s official launch. This is also what happened with the Galaxy S26 Ultra, giving the entire world a much earlier look at what the phone looked and performed like.

Early reviews or not, the general consensus on the upcoming Pixel 11 phones is pretty mixed. While some leaks have led to disappointment, the Pixel fan base seems to mostly be pretty happy with their phones.

Those who have been wanting to upgrade to the Pixel 11 Pro XL will likely do so. Meanwhile, Pixel users whose phones aren’t too old are pretty content with their user experience for now.

Something fun to look forward to

I always find it fun when some reviewer not tied down by embargoes gets to review a device before it can even be announced. I’m sure it’s a thrill for them to get so much attention and all of us get to see the leaked phone in advance as well.

So I’m going to politely wait for the almost guaranteed reviews that are probably being filmed as we speak.
