Galaxy S26 FE and Galaxy Tab S12 might launch much earlier than expected

This may be the week of the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Flip 8, and the Galaxy Watch 9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, but those are far from Samsung’s only upcoming devices. We’ve already had our first look at two of its new devices, which have leaked again today.

Galaxy S26 FE and Galaxy Tab S12 leak once again

While we’re used to getting confirmation about the existence of new devices from regulators and certification bodies around the world, some devices also appear in other places. This time the upcoming Galaxy S26 FE and Galaxy Tab S12 have been noticed by Android Authority in a list inside the Google app.



The list features devices that receive a free trial of a paid Google AI account upon activation, and it already includes the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Z Flip 8. While the entry of the S26 FE and Tab S12 doesn’t confirm their premiere dates, it is a surefire sign they’ll arrive in the coming months.

When are the Galaxy S26 FE and Galaxy Tab S12 launching?

It would be safe to bet that we’ll see the new devices sometime in September. That would follow the September premieres of both the Galaxy S25 FE and Galaxy Tab S11 series devices.

On the other hand, the mid-range smartphone and the new tablets could land much earlier. The Z Fold 8 and Z Flip 8 have appeared on the same list only a week ago, and their premieres are expected on July 22. That could mean Samsung will launch the Galaxy S26 FE and the Galaxy Tab S12 series as early as next month.

Of course, that’s only speculation at this moment, and we’d need to wait for official details about the two devices.



We’ve already seen renders of the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra, which make it look just like the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, and all its predecessors since the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra. Rumors about its specs are not much different, and also suggest a chipset upgrade and little else.

This could mean bad news for Samsung fans, considering that my colleague Peter wasn’t too impressed in his in-depth review of the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra. He liked the screen and the battery life, but felt the loss of the vibration feedback and a camera was aggravating.

More upgrades for the Galaxy S26 FE

The Galaxy S26 FE has also leaked already, showing its refreshed design that puts it firmly in the Galaxy S26 family. The device will get a similar camera module on the back, instead of the separated cameras on the Galaxy S25 FE.

The phone is expected to feature last year’s Exynos 2500 chipset, 8GB of RAM, and up to 512GB storage alongside a slightly larger 5,000 mAh battery. Rumor has it it will also support up to 25W wireless charging.
