Get a brand-new iPhone 8 for $500 and a $600 iPhone 8 Plus from Costco
Costco is cooking up a couple of sweet Black Friday deals for members of its warehouse clubs interested in purchasing a new tablet or smartwatch ahead of the holidays, but if you want to get a solid discount on an extremely popular smartphone right now, the retailer also has you covered.

For a limited time only (namely, until November 15), Costco Warehouse members can buy a brand-new 64GB iPhone 8 for as little as $499.99. Believe it or not, that’s exactly how much Apple is charging for the 2017 handset in certified refurbished condition.

Meanwhile, a 64GB iPhone 8 Plus fetches $599.99 at Costco, which, you guessed it, is equal in price to an official refurb sold through the online US Apple Store. The difference is those refurbished units come unlocked and SIM-free for you to take them to your wireless service provider of choice, whereas Costco’s deals are available squarely with “qualified” T-Mobile activations.

Still, the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus on special offer for the next week or so are a cool $100 cheaper than the same devices sold directly by the nation’s leading “Un-carrier.” The marked-down prices include $50 instant savings, but various additional taxes and fees could still apply.

The iPhone 8 duo was released last year as a more affordable and “conventional” alternative for the “all-screen” iPhone X, maintaining an impressive global sales pace even after the iPhone XS, XS Max, and XR announcements. In fact, supply chain sources claim iPhone XR production for the holidays has been downgraded, with iPhone 8 numbers expected to continue surging. Obviously, discounts like this can only help demand stay strong for the foreseeable future.
