Amazon has a refurbished iPhone X 'deal of the day' you may want to consider
Apple has recently added the HomePod, iPhone 8, and iPhone 8 Plus to its official refurbished e-store in the US (although the 8 Plus is already sold out), but the company’s banner 2017 handset is stuck in a weird state of limbo.

The iPhone X is no longer available directly from Apple in unused condition, while certified refurbished units have never been on sale. But that’s where various eBay sellers and Amazon come in, with the latter offering some decent discounts on GSM unlocked iPhone X refurbs today only.

Technically, you’ll be doing business with third-party seller BuySPRY, but the marked-down devices are backed by Amazon’s own 90-day Renewed Guarantee after professional inspection and tests conducted by an “Amazon qualified supplier.”

Basically, the e-commerce giant will vouch for the mint condition and flawless functionality of the iPhone X devices on special offer these next few hours, which set you back as little as $725.

That’s obviously in an entry-level 64GB configuration, while upper-tier 256 gig models are up for grabs at $829. You can have either version in silver or space gray, but you won’t be able to activate these on Verizon or Sprint. Just GSM networks like AT&T and T-Mobile.

Compared to the original list prices of the all-new iPhone X, these provide savings of over $200, or around 25 percent off, although you can obviously get this even cheaper on eBay. But Amazon’s level of customer trust is pretty much unrivaled.

As for the iPhone X, it’s probably not fair to compare it to the new and upgraded XS. But next to the $750 and up iPhone XR, last year’s main Apple flagship still holds its own, despite packing a slower processor. You get two rear-facing cameras on the iPhone X, a sharper (albeit smaller) OLED screen, and a stainless steel frame.
