ZTE budget phone includes fingerprint scanner
The ZTE Xiao Xian 2 has been unveiled in China, and surprisingly the budget handset includes a fingerprint scanner. Priced at the equivalent of $144 USD, this model has the biometric scanner placed at the back of the device. It also offers 4G LTE connectivity and at 8.9mm thick, this is not a "fatty". It also is fairly light at 126 grams.

The ZTE Xiao Xian 2 (aka the B880 in some regions) comes with a 5-inch screen carrying a 720 x 1280 resolution. It all works out to a 268ppi pixel density. A quad-core 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6735 CPU drives the phone. 1GB of RAM is inside along with 8GB of native storage. A 32GB capacity microSD slot is available for those desiring additional memory, and a 13MP camera is on the back, carrying an aperture of f/2.2. In front, an 8MP snapper takes care of selfies and video chats. Keeping the lights on is a 2400mAh battery, and Android 5.0 is pre-installed.

For $144, you're getting pretty good value for the money and the fingerprint scanner is icing on the cake. Check out a couple of images of the phone by clicking on the slideshow below.
