Windows Phone Mango update coming this week?

Windows Phone Mango update coming this week?
We recently reported that an unnamed software development company had passed along the word that Windows Phone Mango was being delayed until September 15th. That was a couple of weeks ago, and the September 15th date now dovetails with a story that was "broadcast" today on the Windows Phone Dev Podcast. The pair behind the podcast, Lewis and Ryan Lowdermilk, passed along the word that they had heard from various sources, which is that Windows Phone Mango is expected to drop sometime this week with current Windows Phone 7 users receiving an update, and final tools will be dropping for developers.

The Lowdermilks have a good track record, being the first to leak screenshots of Mango and have correctly predicted the dates of Mango developer betas in the past. We also should not forget the recent introduction of a pair of Windows Phone Mango flavored handsets, the HTC Titan, and the HTC Radar. All of the pieces are fitting together for what could be a fabulous week for Windows Phone 7 users.

It sure has taken a long time for Microsoft to get the mango update since they first started talking about it. Hey, it has taken Microsoft longer time to get mango out than it did for Nokia to get Symbian Anna out (it took about 4 months for nokia to get Anna out). Maybe they are just mango heads at Microsoft (mango heads in swedish means, stupid in the head).

mango is a major release, not a minor upgrade like Anna was. I would prefer MS took their time and released a brilliant upgrade instead of hurrying up and releasing crap.

Mango is a huge release, it makes windows 7 100 times more awesome. And when windows 8 comes along windows will be a 1000000 times better than Android and Apple combined, or both will fail miserably... that would be really awkward.
