White HTC EVO 4G shipments arrived earlier than expected at some Best Buy locations
Just close to a month after officially launching, the second phase of the HTC EVO 4G's release is about to commence with big box retailer Best Buy scheduled to seize a grasp on the white version of the high powered Android smartphone. We reported a few weeks back that the consumer electronics giant would have an exclusivity with the HTC EVO 4G donning a white paint job and would start selling it on July 11, however, it's being reported that some stores have begun to receive shipments already. For those who were quick to take up on their usual pre-order process, they might soon be getting a phone call from a representative at where they placed their pre-order to pick them up. If there isn't enough proof, one of Engadget's tipsters managed to take photos of an unboxing for the handset – which clearly showcases the new paint job it'll be donning. Furthermore, it's revealed that these lucky locations getting in with shipments have begun handing out the prized handset – so it's a good idea to call a local store ahead of time to verify if they indeed have them in stock so you don't waste the trip driving there.
