We finally know when Asus ZenFone 6 pre-orders will start in the US
While the ZenFone 6 is not the most powerful, feature-packed, or even eye-catching device unveiled by Asus in 2019, non-gamers are probably more excited to see the "mainstream" 6.4-incher commercially released in the US than the niche-oriented ROG Phone 2 expected to cost around a thousand bucks.

Don't get us wrong, the Asus ZenFone 6 has plenty of cool things and rare design elements going for it, starting with a motorized dual camera setup that rotates 180 degrees to pull double duty as both the handset's main shooter equipment and an unusually capable selfie taker. Priced at an incredibly affordable €500 and up in Europe, the virtually bezelless phone is likely to fetch no more than $600 in its entry-level configuration stateside.

Unfortunately, the company continues to stay mum on the topic of official US availability, but that's where B&H Photo Video comes in, seemingly confirming a pre-order start date and even a pre-order start time. Apparently, early adopters will be able to book their units from 12am ET on Wednesday, July 31, getting to choose between 64 and 128GB storage variants in "Twilight Silver" and "Midnight Black" paint jobs.

Of course, these listings could be mere placeholders, but given their specificity, we highly doubt that will prove to be the case. Alas, there's no word on a delivery date (or time) for these early pre-orders, and we're not sure if any other retailers are planning to launch the Asus ZenFone 6 on that same day.

What we do know is that you will be able to activate the unlocked dual SIM handset on GSM carriers like AT&T and T-Mobile, with 6 gigs of memory on deck, a Snapdragon 855 processor, a shiny rear glass cover, hefty 5,000mAh battery, customizable Smart Key, clean Android 9.0 Pie software, and an excellent combination of a 48MP primary camera and 13MP "Ultrawide" lens.
