With the Galaxy S27 Ultra, Samsung fans are still asking for the same upgrades that they’ve been wanting for years. This, despite the new problems introduced by the Galaxy S26 Ultra, highlights just how tired the customer base has gotten making the same requests year after year.

An even split between cameras and the battery

In a recent poll after a look at new renders for the Galaxy S27 Ultra, we asked you what you hoped to see on Samsung’s upcoming flagship smartphone. Fascinatingly, the desire for a larger battery with faster charging speeds had the exact same number of votes as the wish for a noticeable upgrade to the cameras at 41.33 percent at the time of writing this.

Very few asked for improvements to the display

Only around 9.5 percent of you said that you wanted an improved implementation of the Privacy Display. One that could retain better resolution when in use.

Lastly, less than eight percent of voters said that they wished to see a more usable display on the Galaxy S27 Ultra. For some users, the inclusion of the Privacy Display on the Galaxy S26 Ultra made it unusable even when the feature was turned off.

These users complained of headaches, eye strain, and nausea when using the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Fortunately, Samsung is reportedly working on a better display for the Galaxy S27 Ultra.

The same requests for the Galaxy S27 Ultra

Samsung fans have been asking for upgrades to the battery, the charging speeds, and the cameras for years now. Even after the Galaxy S26 Ultra literally became unusable for some, these requests stayed at the top of Samsung’s fan base’s wishlist.

Fortunately, Samsung is working on these upgrades and more for the Galaxy S27 Ultra. Next year’s flagship will, at long last, feature a battery that has a higher capacity than the tried and tested 5,000 mAh. Charging speeds improved this year with the Galaxy S26 Ultra and are unlikely to get much faster anytime soon, at least on paper.

The cameras are also rumored to be picking up newer and better sensors, though the Galaxy S27 Ultra is apparently dropping the 3x telephoto lens. Lastly, Samsung is allegedly incorporating a completely redesigned display for the Galaxy S27 Ultra that should make the phone usable for a lot of new people.
