Verizon's global roaming Android smartphone, the Motorola DROID PRO, has just started to receive a new software update. Even though it is still Android 2.2, the actual software version is updated to 2.26.60.XT610.Verizon.en.US. Included in the update is improved audio in voice calls, overall better stability and performance, the user interface now refreshes when changing from GSM/UMTS to Global mode, automatically adds "011" as the Country Code for SMS messages, the Global Mode will not reset when connecting a USB charger, Visual Voice Mail will now detects when Airplane Mode is selected when WiFi is active, and will shows the display at full brightness after wake-up. Even though the 16MB update doesn't offer a lot of "extras", it is nice that some improvements to the software are being made.

If you update your Motorola DROID PRO to the new software, let us know in the comment section below.
