Verizon will be the first US carrier to sell all three new Galaxy A-series mid-rangers
Back when Samsung announced the expansion of its US mid-tier smartphone portfolio with three sleek new models featuring "Infinity" screens, respectable overall specifications, and reasonable price points, things were kept pretty vague in terms of actual availability.
In the meantime, both Verizon and Sprint have kicked off sales of the upper mid-range Galaxy A50, while the significantly humbler (and cheaper) Galaxy A10e has gone up for grabs at AT&T and Boost Mobile. Up next, we know Sprint plans to make the A10e available for its postpaid subscribers as well, but what we didn't know is that Verizon will likely be the first US carrier to complete the 2019 Samsung mid-end trifecta.
Although Big Red has yet to confirm the release date and price points of the Galaxy A20 and A10e, rock-solid Twitter tipster Roland Quandt says the two handsets will come to the nation's largest wireless service provider "soon." If Quandt is correct, the A20 will cost $250 outright, with the A10e expected to fetch $180 on Verizon, which wouldn't exactly be surprising.
After all, those are precisely the price tags unveiled by Samsung last month, when the Galaxy A10e and A20 were cryptically slated for rollouts to "additional carriers and retailers in the coming weeks." Unless someone manages to beat Verizon to the punch, the Galaxy A20 will launch first on the biggest carrier in the US, just like the $350 A50.
The two actually share a jumbo-sized 6.4-inch display, but naturally, the lower-cost variant settles for an inferior pixel count of 1560 x 720, as well as a slower processor, a dual 13 + 5MP rear-facing camera setup, and a single 8MP selfie shooter, while packing the same gargantuan 4,000mAh battery.
As for the Galaxy A10e, the ultra-affordable 5.8-incher doesn't have a lot going for it, but the modern Infinity-V screen (aka waterdrop-style notch) is still a rare sight in the sub-$200 segment. Even better, we expect some sweet introductory deals on both the A10e and A20... whenever the two mid-rangers will actually start selling at Verizon.
