Samsung GALAXY Tab 7.0 Plus

T-Mobile's support site is revealing that the Samsung GALAXY Tab 7.0 Plus is receiving an optional update on Tuesday. The update takes the OS to build 4.0.5 and software version T869UVLG7. Unfortunately for owners of the tablet, this is not an OTA update which means users will have to take their USB cable, connect to a PC or Mac and use Samsung Kies to install it.

If you use Samsung's Media Hub, you might want to update your tablet because Media Hub will only work with Ice Cream Sandwich after August 27th. To be able to download the latest Android OS for the Samsung GALAXY Tab 7.0 Plus, you must have the latest version of Samsung Kies downloaded on your PC or Mac, and the battery on your tablet must be powered up to at least 50%. You can also plug the unit into the wall. If you don't have access to a computer for this update, borrow one. If you're not familiar on how to use Kies, visit the sourcelink for step by step directions
