Thought T-Mobile only handed out tumblers, tongs, and tote bags under its Tuesdays program? You are mostly right, but every once in a while, it gets very generous. However, while most of its expensive giveaways happen during anniversary sweepstakes and not weekly giveaways, the company has suddenly decided to give out a free iPad.
You heard that right

This is not speculation. The T-Life app says that customers will be able to get their hands on the A16 iPad next Tuesday, October 27.
Released just last year, the entry-level iPad costs $599 and has the same A16 Bionic chip as the iPhone 14 Pro Max. It sports an 11-inch screen and is perfect for idling away time or multitasking.
The catch?
Well, T-Mobile won't be handing out the 11th-generation iPad willy-nilly. You will have to earn it. While the device itself is free, you will have to sign up for a mobile internet plan to receive it. The discount will be reimbursed as monthly bill credits over 36 months. You will also be on the hook for a one-time $35 device connection charge.
While that might have deflated your excitement, you are going to need a connection for the free cellular iPad anyway. And with the RAM crisis making electronics unreachable for many customers, this is a rare opportunity to get a device for free that you'd otherwise only be able to get for $400 off at most.
Unfortunately, the cheaper data plans might not qualify, and you will probably have to sign up for one that costs $20 or $25 a month.

The verdict?
As lucrative as the offer sounds, if there wasn't already an iPad-sized void in your heart, don't accept the offer just to save $599. After all, the non-cellular version starts at $449, and you might be able to snag a great deal during the holiday season without needing to commit to T-Mobile for three years.
Limited-time offer
The offer will pop up in T-Life next Tuesday and vanish after 24 hours. Make up your mind before then, and don't forget to redeem the offer as quickly as you can, as I suspect supplies will be limited.
