SteelSeries launches a wireless controller that can easily switch between platforms
With smartphones becoming more powerful, mobile gaming becomes more popular. One thing that’s universally disliked about mobile games, especially fast-paced ones, are the controls. Having to move around, steer or aim using virtual controls on your touch screen is less than ideal and can quickly become frustrating and uncomfortable.

If you’re serious about your mobile gaming experience than you have a solution: a wireless controller. This is where the latest release from SteelSeries comes in.

Known best for its PC keyboards and mice, SteelSeries has been offering premium controllers for a while and has some of the best options for both iOS and Android users. The company’s newest gamepad is called the Stratus Duo and is meant for those who enjoy gaming on PC and Android equally. If you were hoping for one that supports both mobile OS, that's not it.

Besides having an updated design from the Stratus XL, the Duo version also sports improved trigger buttons and analog joysticks. “But why Duo?” you might ask. That part comes from the two types of connections this controller supports. Using the included 2.4GHz wireless receiver, you can game on your PC with low latency, while the Bluetooth connection allows you to use it with your Android smartphone, Oculus Go or Samsung VR. Switching between the two connections is made easy by the dedicated button on the controller.

For additional convenience, you might want to get the SteelSeries SmartGrip adjustable phone mount. It should be available soon for just $10. As for the Stratus Duo, the price is $60. Considering the premium build quality SteelSeries products are usually known for, the Stratus Duo will fit perfectly not only in the hands of gamers but in their budget as well.

With Fortnite's freshly added support for wireless controllers, the Stratus Duo is coming at just the right time!
