Sprint HTC Touch Pro gets ROM update while HTC Snap receives a hotfix
With the attention set on Windows Mobile 6.5 on the horizon, owners of the the original Sprint HTC Touch Pro are getting treated to an official ROM upgrade. It's not what you think, instead it just makes some improvements and fixes some issues with the smartphone. Some of the enhancements include TouchFLO 3D getting updated to improve speed and stability, dialer application enhanced to improve handling of incoming calls, better contact searching performance, and resolving an issue with the “r” and “w” keys on the virtual keypad. In addition, the Sprint HTC Snap is getting a hotfix that corrects and prevents a memory block issue that causes it to lock up or freeze during boot up. So make sure to backup your information before installing the ROM update for the Touch Pro while the hotfix for the Snap shouldn't be too much of a problem.
