Sony Xperia Z3 Compact officially available in the US (unlocked)

Since no carrier is offering it at the moment, the Z3 Compact is sold unlocked, for $529.99. Unfortunately, the handset is backordered, but it will most likely start shipping soon. You can get the Z3 Compact in black, white, green, or orange. Mind you, this is a GSM / LTE device, so you’ll be able to use it on AT&T’s and T-Mobile’s networks, but not on Verizon and Sprint.
The Xperia Z3 Compact packs the same processor and cameras as the Z3, but it’s smaller, sporting a 4.7-inch display with 720 x 1280 pixels. The smaller display helps it provide great battery life. Just like its bigger brother, the Z3 Compact is dust- and water-resistant, and runs Android 4.4 KitKat. You can find out much more about the handset by reading our Xperia Z3 Compact review.
Do you plan to get an Xperia Z3 Compact? Or maybe the larger Xperia Z3? Let us know in the comments!

- Processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 801, Quad-core, 2500 MHz

Sometimes just because it supports AT&T and T-Mobile networks doesn't mean it supports all the bands used on the networks. Which makes his question valid, well at least for AT&T. Because it will eventually be released via T-Mobile in the short future it should support all of their frequencies. As for AT&T I would assume it supports all of their bands given that they are approving it for sale in the United States.

It appears that the Xperia Z3 Compact model D5803 has all the necessary bands for both AT&T and T-Mobile. The price for the phone is in line with others in its class and if there's no chance of it being made available on Verizon I'll probably pick this one up and get a pre-paid T-Mobile SIM as a backup.

This particular variant supports LTE Bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 13, 17 and 20, which should ensure support for AT&T and T-Mobile. xperiablog.net

You should fix that: Z3 compact doesn't come with same amount of RAM, it has 1 gb ram less. Z3 with 3gb and Compact with 2gb..

Because Verizon employs a CDMA network not GSM. When VoLTE is fully up, running, available and when OEMS start producing pure VoLTE handsets then VZW customers will be able to purchase GREAT handsets like this one. I would REALLY like to have this phone, but I will NOT sacrifice my coverage just for a phone. Yours truly, Another disenfranchised VZW customer
