Sony Xperia M to launch in Europe this month
The Sony Xperia M, a more affordable Xperia smartphone, will be launching this month in Europe. Sony itself has confirmed that before the calendar flips over to September, the handset will be released in Russia. The price will be 10,990 RUB ($332 USD). Besides Russia, U.K. retailer Clove is expecting the handset to be available in the U.K. in the week beginning August 19th. Clove has priced the Sony Xperia M for £195.60 ($302 USD).

The Sony Xperia M offers a 4 inch screen sporting a resolution of 480 x 854. Under the hood is a dual-core 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus CPU while an Adreno 305 GPU grapples with the graphics. 1GB of RAM is aboard the device while half of the native 4GB of storage is available to users. In that case, the 32GB capacity microSD slot will come in handy. A 5MP rear-facing camera captures video in 720 x 1280 while there is a .3MP front-facing snapper. A 1750mAh cell should provide for decent battery life, and Android 4.1 is pre-installed. That means the phone will have the responsiveness of Project Butter, keep users up to date with the information they need thanks to Google Now, and save time for users with actionable notifications.

It's not certain that we will see this model in the U.S. considering that Sony is currently working on pushing its top-shelf Sony Xperia Z through T-Mobile.
