Sony Ericsson PlayStation phone might get delayed until April
The Sony Ericsson PlayStation phone has managed to create quite a hype with leaks and spied videos and now some new inside information slates it for release in April, later than the previously expected March launch. The April release however is only confirmed for the UK, so it might just be Europe that will see the PlayStation phone later.

A source close to the matter informed Pocket-lint that “Sony Ericsson is going big on this one, but although it will get a Feb launch, it won’t be in shops until April”. Well, the handset is still expected to pose for the cameras at the Mobile World Congress this February in Barcelona to feed your hungry imagination. The Japanese-Swedish joint venture will showcase the device at its press conference just around the launch of the congress.

Sweet as it sounds, the phone, also known as the Zeus, or the Z1, still has to match expectations and right now it is not exactly rocking the benchmarks. And rumored specs are not ground-breaking either – a 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8655 processor, 512MB of RAM, 1GB of ROM and screen estate of somewhere between 3.7 and 4.1 inches. The company still has time to work on it, though, and we are sure it does as it recently announced the upcoming Sony PlayStation app for iOS and Android. Let us know what you think about the PlayStation phone – is it the next big thing in smartphones or would you rather have Angelina Jolie?
