Selfie fans rejoice! Meitu M6 is unveiled carrying 21MP camera on both the back and front
If you are obsessed with selfies to the point that you need to take one with animals, strangers and dime store Indians every time you go out, the Meitu M6 will probably hold your interest. The phone features a 21MP camera on both the back and the front of the handset. There is also HiFi audio on the device along with a fingerprint scanner embedded on the home button. The 5-inch AMOLED screen carries a 1080 x 1920 FHD resolution. The MediaTek Helio P10 chipset is under the hood with an octa-core 2GHz CPU, and the Mali-T860 MP2 700MHz GPU.

Inside the Meitu M6 is 3GB of RAM with 64GB of native storage. A 2900mAh battery keeps the lights on. The phone will be priced at the equivalent of $457 USD.

Also unveiled today was a refresh of the Meitu V4. Originally made official in November 2015, this phone also comes with a 21MP rear and front-facing camera. The unit is equipped with a 5-inch AMOLED display with a 1080 x 1920 FHD resolution. The Helio P10 chipset also graces this model with its true octa-core CPU. 3GB of RAM is inside along with a updated 128GB of native storage. The original model came with 64GB of the stuff. With a leather back, the price of the Meitu V4 now starts at the equivalent of $610 USD, rising to as high as $762 USD.

If you love selfies, and we know that many of you do, the 21MP front-facing cameras available on the Meitu M6 and Meitu V4 could produce the quality of self portraits that you're looking for.

Thanks for the tip!

Ah, it was one of those things where you keep saying to yourself not Meizu, not Meizu, but your brain freezes. Regardless, it has been fixed. My humblest apologies. Alan F.

Meitu is a different company than Meizu, you dummy. If you look at the last picture of the phone, you should be able to see a huge Meitu brand on the back of the phone, very huge MEITU

Larger lense gives larger field of vision? Wider angles? A selfies doesn't need to look far, should be close. Right?

thats just color accent to make sensor look larger (just like what other manufacturer did)

because they make the back camera looks bigger by íncreasing the cover lenses size, not the internal part itself on the front, things must be minimalized in order to look better

My Note and iPhone both take great selfies, with 5 meg cameras. I'm handsome, and I don't need 21 Meg's to tell me that. A trip to the mirror will suffice.
