Sears isn't the first place you would think of to purchase the ASUS Transformer Pad TF300 tablet. The device, which has recently been updated to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, is available from the department store with a promotion. Those purchasing the tablet from Sears will receive a free keyboard dock that would probably cost you $100 to $150 elsewhere. The idea of the portable QWERTY is to turn your tablet into a laptop computer and allow you to type quickly and with more accuracy.

Sears has priced the ASUS Transformer Pad TF300 for $399.99 which, as we said, includes the keyboard dock. If you were going out to purchase this model, is there a reason to pay the same price elsewhere to buy it without the keyboard? If you're worried about what your technologically-minded friends will say when they hear you bought a tablet from a mall based department store, don't fret. That will be our little secret.
