The nexus 9 is still a beast. been thinking about getting one but I'm holding out for some OEM to make a better android tablet than the nexus 9 because currently there isn't one.

I have developed an app (related to AR) on the nexus 9, and it heats up like a frying pan. And after using the s4 for 2 years without issues, I can safely say that I don't get bothered by heating. But the nexus 9 feels like it will set itself on fire and explode. There is an android tablet better than nexus 9. It's called pixel c. I don't understand why anyone would buy an android tablet though. Android tablets don't match the apps of iPad and neither the productivity of windows tablets. Most android makers like Samsung and LG have given up on android tablets and it's not getting any better.

The pixel c is s**t, such an incremental upgrade compared to the Nexus 9 and it cost almost twice as much. I just want a android device and I don't like owning more than one phone, that's why I want a android tablet, not to mention high-end andoid tablets usually cost less than high-end phones.

Tab s is straight trash man, worse than pixel c. The Xperia Z4 would be good if it didn't cost so much and have the SD810.

Lenovo Yoga tablet 2 8 inch is a good choice, cost less than USD200 but might be available in certain countries only...

Its pretty good with 810 since it has a bigger body so it wont overheat

Thought that would be the case but it's still $100 more than the pixel c.

Pixel C with Remix OS would be a great option. Not sure if Remix OS supports Pixel C though.

I just got the Pixel C with the developer discount and it's a great tablet. It's kind of big for me though. I want something around the size of the Nexus 7.

So you're waiting for the Android version of the iPad Mini 4, i'm waiting for the Android version of the Air 2 lol. To bad the only Android OEMs taking tablets serously are Google and Sony and unfortunately neither one has produced a tablet that meets our preferences :-(.
