Samsung Gear Sport goes on sale at Amazon for $299.99

Samsung's Gear Sport went on pre-order in the United States about two weeks ago. Now, the smartwatch is available for purchase on Amazon for $299.99, the same price that customers paid if they placed a pre-order.

However, the smartwatch doesn't come with any freebies in tow, whereas if you would have pre-ordered the Gear Sport you would have received 6 months of Spotify Premium service for free. Well, at least you get to choose between two colors: Blue and Black.

The Gear Sport is a step up from the previous Samsung smartwatches in the fact that it's water-resistant up to 50 meters and comes with all sorts of health sensors and apps. The wearable device allows users to easily track their activity with heart rate and GPS mapping, as well as check calorie balance and measure daily progress.

It also comes with Samsung Pay NFC support so you can make payments from your wrist. And you can use the Gear Sport with either Android or iOS smartphones.

Nice, but there's not a smart watch on the market, that would make me get rid of my Gear S3. Simply the best for my wallet, just like the Note 8.

That damn standalone icon is annoying as hell. Petition Samsung to get rid of it.
