Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge reportedly in testing at AT&T

Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge reportedly in testing at AT&T
Last week, we heard that Samsung might be planning to announce its Galaxy S7 family of smartphones (most likely including a regular S7 and an S7 edge) on February 21, just before MWC 2016 starts. Like the Galaxy S6 series, Samsung's S7 smartphones will likely be widely available around the world, including in the US, where all major carriers are probably going to sell them.

According to @evleaks, the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge (model numbers SM-G930A and SM-G935A) are already in testing at AT&T - which means that both could be released shortly after their announcement.

Right now, we don't have new info on the features that the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge will bring. However, it's probably safe to assume that both handsets (or at least some variants of them) will be powered by Samsung's brand new Exynos 8 Octa 8890 processor. The upcoming smartphones could also feature 20 MP rear cameras, pressure-sensitive touchscreens, enhanced audio capabilities, USB Type-C connectors, and thinner bodies. Interestingly, it's said that the regular Galaxy S7 will sport a 5.2-inch screen, while the Galaxy S7 edge will come with a 5.7-inch or 5.8-inch dual-curve screen. Of course, at the moment, nothing can be confirmed.

What do you want from Samsung's Galaxy S7 family?

If it's 20 megapixels then its most likely their new ISOCELL sensor.....I don't think Sony makes mobile lenses though

when they get to their 10th flagship, will it be called Galaxy SX and iPhone XS? Joking aside, at this rate our phones will soon cook for us.

I'm really hoping that the Edge version comes in a 5.2inch and is slightly smaller than the regular, just like with the S6. I'm eligible for an upgrade now but can't see upgrading my LG G2 to the Galaxy S6 being that the S7 is right around the corner. #sigh #1stworldproblems

phones are becoming thinner .. now, make thinner phones, with all the lower capacity batteries. s7 galaxy will have a maximum of 2700 mAh battery, which is too low for such a hardware configuration and display, when you add it again will not have expandable memory and a replaceable battery and lack of FM radio and IR blaster

Agreed - The Obsession of "Thinner" Phones is the big mystery to me. At 6.8 millimeters thick we have about 2600 Mah in S6 Edge. At 7.8 millimeters thick we could have about 3300 Mah Battery. I HOPE Samsung makes an S7 Pro Device which is functionally the same and same appearance- but THICKER with 3300 - 3500 Mah Battery at $ 100 extra. The S6 Active is ugly with mechanical Buttons ( ยก)= Bad. BUT a Thicker S7 Pro with same appearance will be an excellent add ( possibly SD Card also in Pro Version). I see NO ADVANTAGE with a 6.8 mm Phone versus an 8.0 millimeter thick Phone. But that's just me. S7 Pro - Larger Battery Please.

Yes. Hopefully LG G5 will feature the Metal Sides and Frame and durability of the larger V10 with removable Battery and SD Card- AND -Two different sized Flagships . A 5.0"to 5.1" screen and a larger 5.5" to 5.6" for Phablet Fans. Let's see this LG !

I want much longer battery life like two full days or removable battery. Waterproof would be nice.

If the new Exynos supports micro SD cards then it would be a real shame not to include a slot for it.

It as nothing to do with the CPU, the problem comes from moving alway from Emmc HD, then sd cards do not work If you go on the wsj video review of the new iPhones , they go wow this new iPhone. Is fast, this as nothing to do with the A9 CPU, as per there video, but removing the old Emmc tech from The iPhone I.e. No Emmc tech means fast phone I.e. Why Samsung tw crap skin now got fast

Unpacked 2016 is on Feb 21st. Yes, it's coming early.

That doesn't count as early. That's the same quarter and just when the show is. They always do the unpacked event right before MWC and it just so happens MWC is a little earlier this year.

hey what i think that the specs of samsung galaxy s7 would most probably be: 5.2 inch quad hd screen, 18-20mp of camera with 2 variants: one being sony's IMX300 and another being samsung's own isocell camera, retaining the same dimensions with slight increase in height and width by 1mm and of course thickness to be around 6.3-6.6, battery capacity to be around 2800-2900mah and most importantly with 2 variants of processors i.e one with snapdragon 820 and other with samsung's own exynos processor 8890.
