Samsung Galaxy Note 10 pre-orders twice as many as Note 9 in one country
It looks like the Galaxy Note 10 shapes up to be a major market success for Samsung, as the company reports higher pre-orders than the previous model, Note 9. There's a catch though, the numbers are only for Samsung's home turf, so we don't know how well the Note 10 fared in more important markets like the United States or Europe.

The numbers look quite impressive for a single country like South Korea though, as Korea Herald reports the total order volume is estimated to be over 1.3 million units, which is double that of the Note 9.

According to Samsung, the most popular model in South Korea is the 256GB Galaxy Note 10+ in Aura Glow. Just like in other countries, South Korean carriers have set certain amounts of subsidies for Note 10 customers between $230 and $375.

However, before carriers officially announced these subsidies, various retailers in the country illegally offered up to $580 for customers pre-ordering the Note 10. This obviously had a positive impact on Note 10 pre-orders by boosting sales, but we don't know to what degree.
