We can all agree, the
Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 isn’t the shiniest thing right now in Samsung’s stable, but nevertheless, it’s
another mid-range Android smartphone that’s making its entry into the
UK market courtesy of Three UK.
As if the number 2 in its name isn’t blatant enough, the handset is actually the successor to
last year’s Samsung Galaxy Ace, which actually somehow managed to be successful in the European market. Well folks, we can only hope for the same this time around with its predecessor, as it again sports a modest price point.
Specifically, Three UK is selling it as a
SIM-free model for the easy to tolerate price of
$363 (£229.99) outright. However, if you prefer picking it up on-contract, you can actually buy one for
free with plans that start at $35 (£22) per month. For lower monthly rates, you can pay a little more for the handset, which can bring the monthly plan for it down to as little as $24 (£15).
Just to joggle your memory about this one, the Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 features a 3.8” WVGA display, dual-core 800MHz processor, 5-megapixel auto-focus camera, and the usual TouchWiz UI experience running on top of Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
