Samsung Galaxy A50 with Exynos 9610 and 4GB of RAM gets benchmarked
The Samsung Galaxy A6+

In addition to the budget Galaxy M10, M20, and M30, Samsung is reportedly working on a number of new Galaxy A-series models that will also contain an extra digit in their name. And ahead of its expected release in early 2019, the upcoming Galaxy A50 appears to have been spotted on Geekbench.

Listed under the name Samsung SM-A505F, the Galaxy A50 scored a respectable 4380 points on the multi-core test and 1615 points on the single-core one. These results were made possible by the Exynos 9610 processor that can be found inside paired with 4GB of RAM.

As usual, not much else is revealed about this particular device. So details such as the internal storage capacity and camera resolutions remain unclear at this point. However, the benchmark results do reveal the presence of Android 9 Pie. This is certainly a positive sign considering Samsung’s history of releasing mid-range and budget smartphones with older versions of Android.

Samsung itself hasn’t yet confirmed its plans to release the Galaxy A50 but, if the company sticks to its usual timeline, an official appearance in late December or early January is likely before a release towards the end of the month.
