Once again, Verizon announced that it will be the exclusive carrier for the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL in the United States, but that doesn't mean that consumers in the country won't be able to use it on other networks.

After T-Mobile announced that it will pay 50% of either the Pixel 2 or Pixel 2 XL price when you bring it to its network, another US carrier announced that it will support both Google's smartphones – Republic Wireless.

The MVNO (mobile virtual network operator) carrier has just confirmed that the new Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL will be compatible with its “Bring Your Own Phone” (BYOP) program.

Android fans can purchase the unlocked Pixel 2 via Google Store for $649 (64GB) or $749 (128GB), and bring it to Republic Wireless. The same goes for the Pixel 2 XL which can be had for $849 (64GB) or $949 (128GB).

Those who choose Republic Wireless' BYOP program can pair their Pixel 2 or Pixel 2 XL devices with the carrier's plans starting as low as $15 a month. It's worth noting that all Republic Wireless plans include unlimited talk, text and WiFi data, but you'll have to pay extra for cellular data.
