Pigs do fly! AT&T's Nokia Lumia 1020 gets Lumia Denim update at long last
The AT&T version of the Nokia Lumia 1020 is now receiving the Lumia Denim update, well after most other Lumia models. The AT&T release comes one month after the firmware update was cleared for the camera-centric smartphone in North America. Canadian carriers Rogers and Telus have already pushed out Lumia Denim for the Lumia 1020. The phone is known for its 41MP PureView rear camera, which includes OIS, and an aperture of f/2.2.

The Lumia Denim update allows users to activate virtual personal assistant Cortana by saying "Hey, Cortana." The update also allows Windows Phone 8.1 users to create live folders. Creating a live folder is as easy as holding an app on the start screen and moving it over another app. The Lumia Denim update adds MSN Weather and data from MSN Health and Fitness to the Glance screen. That screen is where notifications, missed calls and the current time can be found. And with the firmware update, those using the browser can surf over a virtual private network.

We know that you Lumia 1020 owners on AT&T have been waiting for the Lumia Denim update, and now it is rolling out to your handset. We'll tell you the same thing that we tell everyone with an OTA update. Be patient, as it might take a few days to hit your phone. Download and install Lumia Denim using a Wi-Fi network, and make sure that your battery is charged to at least 50%. One last thing. Enjoy your newly updated phone and its new features! Hopefully Microsoft can now get the Lumia Denim update heading toward the T-Mobile branded Nokia Lumia 521.
