Photos of the Dual LTE Xiaomi Redmi 1S leak
On New Year's Eve, we told you that Xiaomi was rumored to be introducing the Dual LTE Xiaomi Redmi 1S on January 4th. On Friday, pictures of the device leaked out. The phone comes with the ability to connect to the 4G LTE networks belonging to both China Unicom and China Telecom, as well as the 4G LTE pipeline belonging to China Mobile.

The dimensions of the Dual LTE Redmi 1S are 134 mm x 67.21 mm x 9.2 mm and the phone weighs 132 grams. That compares to dimensions of 132 mm x 69 mm x 9.9 mm and a weight of 158 grams for the OG Xiaomi Redmi 1S. The new model is expected to be available in a multitude of colors including black, white, red, orange, yellow, green, purple, and blue.

The Dual LTE Xiaomi Redmi 1S features a 4.7-inch screen with a resolution of 720 x 1280. A 64-bit 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 CPU is driving the device, which includes 1GB of RAM and 8GB of native storage. If you need additional memory, which is quite likely, a microSD slot is on board. An 8MP camera graces the back of the phone while a 2MP snapper adorns the front of the unit. A 2200mAh battery powers the phone, which has Android 4.4 pre-installed. Xiaomi's MIUI skin runs over the Android OS.

January 4th is fast approaching. We could see Xiaomi introduce this model along with the rumored Xiaomi Mi5 flagship. Stay tuned.

Consumers who are looking for a low-mid end phone don't mind about how pretty it is, it's all about the value for the money and Xiaomi suceeds at it.

I Agree with you guys. It's still pretty, but not so much. At least they didn't copy someone else's design for this very specific unit. I love shao-mi. And also please roll out your products faster to all markets.

Dual LTE? Dafuq, this is sweet. Now make the flagship phone with dual LTE and you might achieve 2nd spot in 2015 .

This Design very much resembles the current 1s which is selling like hotcakes. So why this would be a failure? LoL

I haven't seen anyone using this 1S here in California. Maybe you're in China or you just love to hold the phone in your hand every time you use it. Protruding camera causes wobbling when use on a desk/table. Off-centered screen in landscape mode would be in different position when you rotate it. This Samsung-like design is just stupid and lame. Why do they keep sticking with this design for years is way beyond me. It's not like this is the most awesome design. Oh well, idiots can't innovate but they can always sell to other idiots.
