Opera Mobile introduced as the default browser in the Nokia X family of devices
Microsoft just introduced the Nokia X2, its first Android-powered smartphone since Nokia became part of the company, and it seems that the X2 is a well-balanced entry-level device. The newly-unveiled is running a forked version of Android, which is devoid of Google's apps and services, so Microsoft has thrown in a wide array of its apps for a good measure. Still, it seems that Nokia X2 users will rely on Opera when it comes browsing, as the default browser in the X2 will be Opera Mobile. Moreover, it will also be the default browser of any upcoming Nokia X devices.

This is a result of a long-lasting collaboration between the Redmond giant and Opera. Not only is Opera the default browser in the new Android device that's coming straight from Microsoftland, it's also available for the previous representatives of the Nokia X family – the Nokia X, the Nokia X+, and the Nokia XL.

Opera Mobile comes with several interesting features that will surely be well-received by the users of the device. Apart from Opera Turbo (also known as Off-Road mode), which paves the way for hefty data savings, the browser also comes with the Speed Dial and the Discover feature. The former allows the creation of convenient bookmarks, while the latter treats users to the "cream of the crop in fresh content".
