OnePlus 6 update adds improved HDR mode, fixes screen flickering issue

Many OnePlus 6 owners have been complaining about an issue that made their screens flicker in daylight. OnePlus promised to fix the problem and included it in a beta update that was released to members of the Open Beta circle earlier this month.

Today, the update containing the screen flickering issue in daylight fix has been released for everyone owning the OnePlus 6. Along with this bug fix, OnePlus also added some optimizations and improvements for the system and camera.

As the title says, OxygenOS 5.1.11 brings improved HDR mode for the camera, as well as the following optimizations and enhancements:

• Optimized network connection;
• Optimized stability for Wi-Fi connection;
• General bug fixes and improvements;
• Confirm pin without tapping ✓(Setting > Security & lock > PIN).

The rollout of the update has already begun, but the OTA (over the air) will be received by a limited number of OnePlus 6 users today and will have a broader rollout in the next couple of days, so be patient if you don't see it on your phone yet.
